My recent Mixed Media Sculptures, 2026.
Previous
01
Balancing Woman
Discover 'Balancing Woman,' a sculpture featuring an abstract natural clay figure balancing on one foot. With a wooden base, 'Balancing Woman' is dressed in metallic acrylic paint, seashells, and fabric trim.
02
Ballet
Presenting 'Ballet,' a puppet-style ballerina composed entirely of seashell bits. Its skeletal figure and delicate medium represents a marriage of the harsh expectations ballet serves.
03
Bonnet
'Bonnet' presents a hand-crafted, natural clay sculpture coated in metallic acrylic paint and accented with fabric trim, blending artisanal detail with regal elegance to evoke a careful contrast. This piece exemplifies a comfortable harmonization of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics.
04
Kiss Rabbit
Featuring 'Kiss Rabbit,' a soft addition to my collection. "Kiss Rabbit' is a natural clay sculpture painted acrylic pearl brown head to toe. The figure depicts a woman kissing a rabbit dressed in a striped apron and white skirt. Additional material includes fabric, trim, lace, string, beads, and ribbon.
05
Waterbed
Introducing "Waterbed," a ceramic work that depicts a three-dimensional figure peacefully asleep in water. Crafted with natural clay on hard tile, the piece is accented by acrylic pearl paint and authentic seashells. 'Waterbed' aims to capture our innate comfort in the marriage of nature and humanity.
06
Shell Fish
Introducing 'Shell Fish,' a hand-sculpted natural clay fish figure. The sculpture is swaddled in seashells and fabric trim, carefully mounted on two ceramic tiles. Further features hand-bent and cut utensils at the tail.
07
Lilac Mother
Presenting 'Lilac Mother,' a 28" mixed-media indoor floor piece crafted from natural clay, utensils, seashells, fabric, ribbon, felt, dried lilac, and various other materials. Swaddled in bronze metallic paint and mounted on ceramic tile, the piece features a dalmatian at the foot of the figure’s dress and a cigarette between the lips to contrast the allusion to mother nature.
08
Lampshade Ladies, Grape
A series of two mixed media sculptures with a glass lampshade base and natural clay figure. The more abstract of the two, Grape, was sculpted in January 2026 with glass, natural clay, metallic bronze paint (acrylic), seashells, trim, beads, makeup for color, and yarn. Holding a plate in her right hand, the left features a swell to mimic the shape of a grape as a long, thin arm feeds herself the fruit as she becomes it.
09
Lampshade Ladies, Phone
A series of two mixed media sculptures with a glass lampshade base and natural clay figure. Phone, made in February 2026, was crafted with glass, natural clay, ribbon, fabric scraps, wire, seashells, jewelry, jump rings, metal, and beads.
10
Lampshade Ladies, Dance
The third and tallest woman in the 'Lampshade Ladies' series, 'Dance' (2026), continues the tradition of using a recycled lampshade base to mount its natural clay body. 'Dance' features a larger scale, where a still woman is depicted basking in the fluidity of her limitless motion. This mixed media work is made with natural clay, acrylic bronze paint, glue glaze, feathers, satin, silk cord, fabric scraps, lace trim, and beads.Â
